The technique
Dry ice blasting consists of projecting dry ice pellets (solid CO2) at −78.5 °C under high pressure onto the surfaces to be cleaned. On impact, the ice sublimates instantly into gas, creating a thermal shock that lifts deep-seated contamination (grease, oil, soot, resin, glue, rust). The result: a clean, dry, undamaged surface, with no residue, chemicals or moisture.
Abrasive sandblasting can damage delicate surfaces, and high-pressure cleaning uses water, creating moisture problems. Dry ice blasting is non-abrasive, dry and residue-free: it cleans without disassembly, without wetting and without scratching.
Yes: zero water, zero solvent, zero chemicals, zero secondary waste. The CO2 used is a recovered industrial by-product, which sublimates into an inert gas without leaving a trace.
It is solid CO2 at −78.5 °C in pellet form, non-toxic, non-flammable and non-conductive. The intervention requires protective equipment and our technicians are VCA certified (BeSaCC-VCA).
No. The dry ice sublimates instantly into gas on contact with the surface and disappears without leaving any residue. Only the loosened contamination remains to be collected.

No. Dry ice sublimates on contact with no abrasive mechanical action: it does not scratch, does not alter dimensions and does not affect surface finishes, even on polished molds. A test is systematically performed on a discreet area before full intervention.
Not necessarily, but a safety zone is set up around the intervention due to noise and CO2 gas emissions, while allowing adjacent production to continue.

Duration varies greatly depending on the job: injection mold (20 to 60 minutes), electrical cabinet (1 to 3 hours), industrial machine (half a day to a full day), facade or timber frame (a day or more), post-fire (variable).
Very little preparation is needed: access to a sufficient compressed air supply, proper ventilation and clear space around the equipment. A preparation sheet is provided after the quote.
